My order is wrong or damaged

We apologize for any error made in the processing of your order and for any inconvenience it may have caused. Damaged, defective or incorrect items must be reported within 7 days of delivery. Our easy returns process makes it simple to correct your order or process a refund. Please contact us as soon as possible at contact@dressthepopulation.com with a photo of the error and we contact you as quickly as we can to resolve the issue. Please note that items that are damaged or incorrect that are outside of our normal returns window will not be accepted.

Something I ordered is now on sale. Will you match the new price?

Sorry, price adjustments will not be done for items at a reduced price. We only offer sales for a limited time, so by buying early, you ensure that you get the style in the color and size you want!

What methods of payment do you accept?

We accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover and American Express, Paypal, Apple Pay, and Google Pay

Can I change or cancel my order?

We can change or cancel your order as long as its has not been prepared for shipping. For change or cancellations please email us at contact@dressthepopulation.com with your order # in the subject line.

What is your return policy?

Dress the Population now offers FREE RETURNS on orders (US ONLY) $99 or higher!

When returning styles shipped internationally, you will be responsible for the shipping cost to get it back to our warehouse. All other policies from domestic returns are still in effect. Please contact support at contact@dressthepopulation.com to aid you in the process.


Dress the Population gladly accepts returns of unworn, unwashed, unaltered, undamaged or defective merchandise full refund or exchange within 30 days of the original purchase.

  • Returns must be received in new condition; unworn, unwashed, and with the tags intact. Items returned with obvious use, makeup, animal hair, dander, deodorant, perfume, or similar product stains may be subject to refusal and or a $15 cleaning and restocking fee.
  • One return label will be issued per order, if another label is generated $12.50 will be deducted from your refund.
  • Returns after 30 days for any reason will be subject to a $10 processing fee and a $12.50 return label fee.
  • If your return is rejected it will automatically be reshipped back to the customer. Refunds will be made in the form of the original payment, unless we agree to credit a different payment type.
  • Please note that items that have been altered are final sale.
  • For orders under $98, the cost of return shipping, $7.50 for any number of items, will be deducted from your refund.
  • Damaged, defective, or incorrect items must be reported within 48 hours of delivery.
  • Please contact us as soon as possible at contact@dressthepopulation.com with a photo of the error and we will contact you as quickly as we can to resolve the issue.

Once we receive your return, please allow 5-7 business days for your return to be processed at our warehouse and then 5-10 business days for your bank to post the refund to your account.

  • Your refund can only be credited back to the original form of payment.
  • We’ll send you an email when our team has processed your refund so you know it’s on the way.

 

Please note that expedited shipping costs on your original order will not be refunded.

My Package is Lost!

After an order has been delivered to the correct shipping address, we cannot be held responsible for lost or stolen packages. Please make sure you have a secure location to receive your order.

What shipping methods do you offer?

We ship from the Tampa Bay, FL area. Time in transit for ground packages to the East Coast is 4-6 business days.

We currently offer free ground shipping on orders $98 and up, shipping within the United States. Simply select the "free ground shipping" option on the check out page. Orders shipping outside the United States are not eligible for free shipping.

UPS 3 Day Select: Delivered 3 business days after the shipment date. We do not currently offer weekend deliveries.

UPS 2nd Day Air: Delivered 2 business days after the shipment date. We do not currently offer weekend deliveries.

 Standard Next Day Air: Delivered the next business day after the shipment date (delivers on Monday if ship date is Friday). We do not currently offer weekend deliveries.

If you have a time sensitive order as we do not guarantee your order will be shipped the same day it is placed. We understand you may need your dress for a special occasion and we will do our best to help get it to you when you need. Please contact customer service: contact@dressthepopulation.com in advance to arrange time sensitive deliveries.

Where do you ship?

We currently ship within the United States.

Shipping cost and transit time varies by location. Your shipping cost will be calculated on your checkout page.

How quickly will my order ship?

We ship from the Tampa Bay, FL area. Orders typically ship within one business day of the order placed.

For expedited orders they must be placed before 12:30 PM EST to ship the same day.

We are closed on Saturday and Sunday, orders placed over the weekend will be shipped by Tuesday of the following week.

Please contact customer service: contact@dressthepopulation.com if you have a time sensitive order as we do not guarantee your order will be shipped the same day it is placed. We understand you may need your dress for a special occasion and we will do our best to help get it to you when you need it.

FedEx Ground® Home Delivery: 5 to 7 business days.

FedEx 2Day®: Delivered 2 business days after the shipment date. NOTE: FedEx can no longer guarantee 2 day shipping because of recent demand increase.

FedEx Express Saver®: Delivered 3 business days after the shipment date.
NOTE: FedEx can no longer guarantee 3 day shipping because of recent demand increase.

FedEx Standard Overnight®: Delivered 1 business days after the shipment date.

UPS 3 Day Select: Delivered 3 business days after the shipment date. We do not currently offer weekend deliveries.

UPS 2nd Day Air: Delivered 2 business days after the shipment date. We do not currently offer weekend deliveries.

Standard Next Day Air: Delivered the next business day after the shipment date (delivers on Monday if ship date is Friday). Overnight shipping does not guarantee morning delivery. We do not currently offer weekend deliveries.

UPS Next Day Air Early: Delivered the next business by 9:00 AM day after the shipment date (delivers on Monday if ship date is Friday). We do not currently offer weekend deliveries.

My order is wrong or damaged

What is the Borrow Program?

Dress the Population has partnered with The Ensemble to provide you with a seamless borrow experience. The Borrow Program let’s you borrow an item from The Ensemble and eventually purchase if desired.

How much does it cost to Borrow?

The cost to borrow varies by item. Please check Dress the Population’s website to check the exact price.

What styles are available for the Borrow program?

The Borrow Program is available for select clothing items.

How long can I borrow an item for?

The borrow period for each item is noted on the Dress the Population website. You can also choose to keep for longer for a daily usage fee.

How does the Borrow Program work?

Select an item to borrow on the Dress the Population website. You’ll then be redirected to The Ensemble to complete the check-out process. You’ll receive your borrowed item, which can be returned at any time using the prepaid mailer or purchased at a discounted price.

The Ensemble is a separate platform from the Dress the Population website, therefore you will need to provide your email address, shipping address, and credit card to place an order.

Am I wearing clothes that other people have worn?

Technically, yes, since items could have been previously borrowed by others. We keep all of the items we offer in like new condition, putting each one through a thorough cleaning and 3 rounds of inspection.
