Note, the Order ID must have a # ahead of the 5-digit Order ID to look up your item. Your email must match the original email address used to place your order.
All return postage and fees, including any duty and taxes (if applicable), are the responsibility of the customer. Please note, you will receive the cost of the garment, minus the cost of delivery back.

We do not accept international exchanges at this time, however, we recommend placing your new order now to reserve the item of your choice and send your current item back in the meantime.

Return Policy
Dress the Population gladly accepts returns of unworn, unwashed, unaltered, undamaged, or defective merchandise for a full refund, excluding the $10 shipping fee, or exchange within 30 days of the original purchase date, provided that all original tags are attached.
- Returns must be received in new condition; unworn, unwashed, and with the tags intact. Items returned with obvious use, makeup, animal hair, dander, deodorant, perfume, or similar product stains may be subject to refusal.
- If your return is rejected it will automatically be reshipped back to the customer. Refunds will be made in the form of the original payment.
- Please note that items that have been altered are final sale and NOT eligible for Refund or Exchange.
- Damaged, defective or incorrect items must be reported within 48 hours of delivery. Please contact us as soon as possible at contact@dressthepopulation.com with a photo of the error and we will contact you as quickly as we can to resolve the issue. Items that are damaged or incorrect and that are outside of our normal returns window will not be accepted.
- Exchanges are free of charge and offer a complimentary shipping label. If an instant exchange is processed, you will have 20 days to return the dress before the card on file for the exchange is charged. The cost of shipping is complimentary for a single exchange, but customers are responsible for the cost of shipping on any additional exchanges.
- Expedited shipping costs on your original order will not be refunded. UPS and FedEx do not guarantee any expedited shipping, except for Next Day/Overnight Shipping. Shipping costs will not be refunded for expedited shipping unless the item is lost by the carrier. Any original shipping charges paid are non-refundable.
- Sale items marked as 'final sale' at the time of checkout are not eligible for exchange or return.
Once we receive your return, please allow 5-7 business days for your return to be processed at our factory and then 5-10 business days for your bank to post the refund to your account.
- Your refund can only be credited back to the original form of payment.
- We’ll send you an email when our team has processed your refund so you know it’s on the way.
- Please note that expedited shipping costs on your original order will not be refunded.
